Hoover screwed the pooch in the great depression

This probably needs a longer introduction

51. When I was a kid, my brother and I would have coloring contests. Then we started having drawing contests. He always beat me (on the count that he was three years older). As a direct result, I stopped drawing all together. 🙁

So, after two weeks of work and six hours into editing, we’ve finished our first comic. Sort of. It’s actually the fourth chronologically.

Here’s the setup: the Bender-like cylindrical robot is Kantbot CI-1, who only does things that can be maximized as a universal law. (Think Golden Rule on steroids.) The other, boxy robot, is Kantbot CI-2 and he only respects things that he considers to have rationality. Thus, he thinks that sheep and other creatures are unworthy of moral consideration. Check it out below the fold. Trust me, it’d be hilarious if you were a moral philosopher. ((Hi Moira.))

  1. AWESOME work on the comics you guys. I love the drawings and the colors, although Kant probably would have defended himself by saying you shouldn’t mistreat animals anyway as it will lead to callousness and cruelty in spirit and possible mistreatment of rational beings…you know the ones that matter according to him (ouch!).

As for why you stopped drawing. In the spirit of your last few posts, one of the things I wanted to do when I was younger was be a concert flutist (yeah I know what was I thinking?). I wasn’t prodigy material but I was pretty good at it. I stopped because a teacher in high school basically made me feel that I wasn’t good enough. It was an unrealistic dream but I’m still sorry I don’t play anymore.

    Oh and hi!
