Experimental Philosophy

This is what I’ve been doing for the past three months. It started when I uploaded a cartoon of myself as my profile picture on Facebook and instantly got a lot of requests for similar images.

This guy, who I shall call “Hagop S.”, offered me ‘$$’ to draw him setting an armchair ablaze.¹

Now I’m finished and will probably not draw another pose like this for anyone for a really long time.

Anyway, here goes. Hope you enjoy it:

I don’t have a funny caption for this, but that wasn’t really the purpose.  Still, I think I’ve improved in the past 10 months.  Vastly.

1. The armchair represents philosophy.  The fire represents experiments.  He’s an experimental philosopher, which is as dangerous as the drawing illustrates.[↩]
