An Argument for Contraception

Some things people say that make me wish I had a Sterilizing Ray:

“The biggest misconception of all times is that this country was founded under the basis of freedom. It most certainly was not. It was founded under God.”

Science says the world is billioins of years old; the Bible says 6,000 years. What did science miss? The flood (but that’s fiction, of course)! Science says we evolved from fish, or apes, or even rocks, whatever species is the newest fad. Because we just couldn’t exhist by God’s power. But you know they found old chariot wheels and various other artifacts in the ocean where Moses parted the sea. I think the first chapter of Ecclesiastes says it all. (Look it up!)”

“Have you ever considered the possibility that Satan created science, and not God? After all, it is science / technology that will lead to our ruin. The problem with scientist is they want to be God. They have to have an explanation for everything instead of accepting the possibilitty that they just weren’t meant to know.”

“science knows no boundaries, which is sort of what I meant when I used the term ‘want to be God.’ For example, in the last twenty years, we have gone from the threat of a cold war to the threat of a nuclear war.

“You are right in that we are found under the freedom of religion, but do not misinterpret this as being freedom from religion. Separation of church and state is a fallacy. No where in any of our founding documents from the Mayflower Compact to the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution do the words “separation from church and state” coexist with one another. This has been a long time misconception construed from the First Amendment; and furthermore it was intended to protect the church from government, not the government from church.”

Editorial note: ‘do not misinterpret this as being freedom from religion.’ WTF???

In regards to the Bible being written by men… I find this a shocking comment from someone with Catholic origin. This is commonly a cliché used in arguments from non-believers. I realize that there are others that disagree with me, but the Bible is what it is. And my personal belief is that you either believe it in its entirety or not at all.

If one believes in God, then one should believe in Satan. Yet, rarely does anyone acknowledge him in the darker hours of life. The common scenario is “Why did God allow this to happen?” never once considering that it wasn’t God at all, but Satan. After all, Earth is his kingdom. As far as science / technology leading to our ruin, it was a simple reference to End Times.

  1. You mean this to insult me for insulting other people’s beliefs. You probably think I’m close-minded or elitist (and you probably think I pronounced that with an ‘a’ sound).

But I accept your suposition. I do feel there are too many humans on the planet, you and myself included. I feel humans are (or lean towards) evil, and actions that remove humans from the gene pool without creating negative dessert or frustration of interests are in the best interest of the planet. The human race included.

However, I also feel my particular combination of genes are what is going to make this planet better in years to come. Which is why I plan to donate my seed in hopes that future generations of hot chicks will get knocked up by my aged, yet potent, jizz.

    (wow, that devolved really quickly)
