(I give up)^3

*sigh* No more Bible talk. I usually don’t shy away from confrontations, but my heart’s just not in this, and I know it’ll be a pretty terrible battle soon.

In fact, no more witty observations about day-to-day life. I find that my life is so completely different from other people’s, that anything I comment on will be totally wasted.
For instance:

  • Don’t you just hate it when you’re solving a Rubik’s Revenge and you have those two middle pieces left over at the end and you just don’t know how to get them?
  • Or how about when you lend a friend $1200 so that he can buy and sell a Canon XL2 and earn a reasonable return, but you’re afraid he’ll get hoodwinked and you’ll be even more screwed for your exchange to Australia..
  • And what about when your wisdom teeth start coming in, but you’re such a procrastinator that you’ve put off getting them pulled out for over two years and now they just plain hurt?
  • Or how about when you’re playing Halo 2 with your friends and you realize that you rock the kazbah, but can’t mention it because they’ll call you a sore winner and you don’t want to be one of those people?
  • Also, have you ever accidentally kissed a good friend who just happened to be a lesbian and in a committed relationship with another good friend and you feel so bad about it that you just stop hanging around with them until it gets so weird when you’re around them that you kick yourself everytime you think about it because you miss them as friends and now you’ve ruined it you stupid, stupid man you.
  • Or when you lent these same ‘friends’ a movie that you had gotten as a gift and you really want to ask for it back, but you just don’t know how to approach it?
  • How about when another friend (who it has been suggested had a crush on you, but since every time you talk, she just brings up boys she likes, you just don’t buy it)– when your other friend lends you a book and you read it, then your mom starts reading it and you’re so afraid that she’ll mess it up that you just want to steal it from her and buy another copy as a replacement?
  • Also, don’t you just hate writing a viewspaper when your heart’s just not in it anymore?
  • Or wanting to write about awesome adventures that you and your friends have but you can’t on the count that you’ve been sworn to secrecy and if people ever find out, you’re likely to get arrested?

Don’t get me wrong, it’s an interesting life, and it’ll make great ‘fictional’ sitcom fodder, but it just isn’t the kind of thing that people want to read about in a blog.

Or is it?

  1. Thank you… I think :-$

The saddest part is that all of these are true. Yeah, my life is a trip. So, how’ve you been, cat in the hat? I haven’t seen or heard from you in a while…
