“There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We can reduce the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to… The Outer Limits“
Do you ever wonder why the bad guys never realize that they’re bad? And how they never realize that they’re going overboard? Like in the movie Scarface, if he’d retired when he amounted the first tonne of cocaine, he could have lived… Same for Blow.
Is it the bad guys that are stupid, or is it just humans in general? If it’s humans, then why do we never see the same for the good guys? Is it that we wouldn’t notice the same traits in good people or is it that these are fictional characters who would never actually exist?
Either way, isn’t that just sad?

It’s definitely the nature of humans. See, the “bad guys”, in any decent movie/text, are not all bad… there’s always some good in them, but ‘cos of a single character flaw, they bring themselves down. In real life, this happens all the time. This is what makes Greek tragedies still relevant, centuries after they were first conceived – ‘cos they reflect the ultimately imperfect nature of humans.
Yesh… it is sad… humans are suck. Everyone should wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and tell him or herself: “I AM SUCK”. Then we would be almost OK as a species, I think. Also, everyone needs to own a penguin and/or duck. That would also alleviate the stupidity.
