Teen charged in crime spree
DURHAM — Brandon Lee Hawkins, 18, of 2918 Pervis Road was arrested by Durham police Saturday on a variety of charges, all stemming from an alleged weekend crime spree.Hawkins is accused of breaking and entering, theft and possession of stolen goods, all at the felony level, for allegedly stealing an iPod, Apple computer and DVD player worth $1,800 at 924 Carolina Ave.
He was also charged with common-law robbery for allegedly taking $40 from a male whom he supposedly punched in the face. That incident led to a separate simple assault charge.
Hawkins is further charged with felony theft and possession of an automobile after allegedly taking a 1990 Chevy pickup. He is accused of three counts of attempting to break into a Lexus, a Nissan and a Volkswagen.
The defendant was ordered held on an $11,000 secured bond.

And you know this personally, my friend? I didn’t think Police recorded details like that in their reports.

I’m sure the police were very thorough. 🙂 But how could someone look like someone without having their ‘dashing good looks?’
I like to think my handsomeness comes from a carefree, zen-like nature I possess, an intangible essence hidden within my eyes and my soul. At least, I hope that’s what people see when they look at me. Otherwise I look like the dude you blogged about. Pudgy, double chinned and looking like I should smell of fries.
Anybody else catch that the story two years ago was for “attempted” robbery. He didn’t win back then either.
Ha ha, I did not notice that. Poor guy. I just checked today: he has not yet posted bail. I’m thinking I’ll request the police report tomorrow and post it here. Is that cool with everyone?
