IT’S A LOCK: WE’RE GOING TO THE KEYS!!

Super Friend Bash is happening again this year. Mark your calendars and tell your friends to mark theirs because we’re going TROPICAL!

From August 19th until August 27th, some of my closest friends and I will enjoy the beautiful sand and ocean of Key West and several other islands. You, too, can come!

Why late August? We chose this time because it was just after the hot, hot summer season and just before the deadly, deadly hurricane season. Also, classes start August 29th.

What follows is the plan. There’s less detail than some would like, more than others. Assuming nobody has a problem with this order (or suggestions for improvements), I’ll start arranging for hotels or beds & breakfast soon. You can either join in for all of it, just the weekend, or do your own thing and rendezvous with us whenever circumstances allow it.

August 19: Arrive in the early evening, check into hotel. Play in the pool or veg out near the beach. Enjoy some fruity cocktails.
August 20: Take a group photo. Go to a nice restaurant or tacky tiki bar for dinner. Hit the town in a futile search for vodka volleyball at night.
August 21: Recover from what will likely be a terrible hangover. Go for brunch.
August 22: Go to Big Key Island. Check into new hotel.
August 23: Skydiving optional.
August 24: Go to Marathon island & check into hotel. Stop by Bahia Honda State Park on the way. Have a picnic.
August 25: Shop, bask, possibly take an eco tour or do some diving.
August 26: Somebody will hopefully run the Seven Mile Bridge with me while everyone else does what they will.
August 27: Go back to Key West. Pack up. Have a nice, final lunch. Leave.

The cost of flights should be between $300 and $600. You can also fly to Miami and drive down. Hotels or house rentals can be cheaper if we all chip in.

Remember: the whole point of Super Friend Bash is to get everyone together. So invite your own friends and make it your own! Put yourself down as a ‘Yes’ if you think you can make it. Reply as a ‘Maybe’ if you don’t know, but want to be kept in the loop as plans solidify.
