AOL and the Discovery Channel have compiled a list of the 100 Greatest Americans (presumably ever), as have I. The following names should not be on the list for various reasons:

If you have any question on why these people shouldn’t be on the top 100 list, please note that they are all alive and media sensations of some kind. Just like I don’t decide to buy ab rollers at 2:00 a.m., the country shouldn’t decide to elect these people because we have them in our national consciousness.

Why Michael Jordon. S’far as basketball players go, he’s got some intelligence, and as far as athletes go, he’s got style.

I mean, it’s not like he should be up there with George Washington or anything, but he’s still prety badass.

Michael Jordan? Are you serious? A man who’s sold out so many times that new generations have no idea he used to play Basketball?

He’s cool, and all, but I’m opposed to most, if not all, people who’s main achievement was entertainment or ‘sport.’ What has Jordan done that was so Great that he’d be in the top 100 Americans Ever list?
Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, Babe Ruth was a cultural icon, and Elvis Presley was abducted by aliens. What has Jordan done but played basketball against cartoons?
