Episode 2 starts off wit Jamal saying, “He’s writing to us, maybe we should write back?”
Yes, that is the premise of the show. J: “Who are you?”
GW: “I don’t remember”
J: “Where did you come from?”
GW: “I do not know”
Lenni is still asking out loud. She is not smart.
J: “Why do you live in my computer?” GW: “What is a computer?” Jamal & Lenni: “Oh No!” Pfft! Kids those days.
Lenni: “He sounds scared, and worried about children.”
Jamal writes: “Don’t be afraid.”
Lenni: “What else can we say?”
Pretty much anything.
They agree to write to the internet predator. Ghostwriter agrees. Now Jamal and Lenni are happy for some reason.
“What do we call him?”
“I don’t know, he said he was a person, or used to be.”
“So he’s a ghost?”
“I don’t know… maybe we can call him…”
“… Ghostperson.”
Good misdirect, Jamal. Good misdirect.
Jamal: “He’s a ghost, and he writes to us. Ghostwriter.”
The midi that will be repeated in every subsequent episode. *sigh*
GW: “THABTO AMERICAN FLYER SPORT” And the game is on.
Alex & Jamal are talking about video games. Turbo heads & X-Men. New Guys on the Block. Why do they have to make up every name but X-Men?
Jamal asks Ghostwriter for help. Ghostwriter responds by sending an Amber Alert. Also, this is hilariously before cell phones.
“It’s better than telephone. Because we can communicate, no matter where we are!” – Alex.
Wow… cell phones are going to blow their mind.
Their safe word is “rally.” Only it’s Rally followed by the first letter of their first name. Because letters are… scarce?
Ooh, remember the Double Defenders? Yep. That was a clue. The bad guys address themselves by names of made up super heroes.
The credits to this episode of Ghostwriter don’t say who the writer is…
Oh.
… Well played, Ghostwriter. Well played.
